CD Brooks - Revival, Reformation, and Rain

Charles D. Brooks, former director of the Breath of Life Ministries and well known African American evangelist preaches at the 2010 Annual Council at the world headquarters of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Silver Spring, Maryland, USA. He speaks on the importance of praying until we are reformed as we enter the end of times. He says all the signs on earth show us that we are at the very  end of time. Famines, earthquakes and war etc are telling us that the end of time is here and Christ is about to come. We need a revival of primitive godliness if we are to survive and enter the gates of heaven. This revival can only come as a result of prayer.

Barry C Black - The Reviving Power of The Bible

In this sermon presented at the 2011 Seventh-day Adventist General Conference Annual Council, Barry C Black, US Senate Chaplain preaches on the reviving power of the Bible the Word of God. He urges to  make a commitment to studying the Bible each and every day. He tells how studying the word saved his life when at the age of 13 some friends from the hood came to seek his help in sorting out another boy. Since he had just read the proverb, 'My son, if sinners entice you, Do not consent', he refused to accompany them on this mission. His friends not only taught this boy a lesson but the ended up killing him. They ended up serving life sentences for murder.

A story is told of a US soilder who found an old chief reading a Bible in a part of the world where not long ago people were head hunters. The soilder scoffed at the chief telling him that in his country they had found the bible to be irrelevant an full of fables. The old chief paused thoughtfully and replied,  "Maybe you don't believe in the Book in your country. But this Book made me a good man. Before this Book came to my country, I'd have eaten you; the Book changed me. Tell me, soldier, do you want me to throw away this Book and eat you?"

The soldier waved goodbye to the old man and muttered, "Keep your Book, and keep reading it."

There is power in the book to change your life. The bible says the bible was inspired by God. 2 Timothy 3:16
